David Hewitt was born in Lexington, KY and his musical influences have been many that include Tony Rice, Merle Haggard, Charlie Waller and the great John Mattingly.  He feels that he is ready for the challenge to sing lead for Cane Run.....having almost been trampled by a hog, eaten by a bear and attacked by a killer jellyfish!  David plays guitar and sings lead.

Jack Willoughby plays bass for Cane Run. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and has spent most of his life around bluegrass music, his late father introducing him to his first jam session when he was 15 years old.  Jack is retired from the United States Navy.

John Mattingly sings tenor and plays banjo for Cane Run. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky.  He learned to play the banjo after hearing radio shows featuring Flatt and Scruggs, J.D. Crowe with Jimmy Martin, and the Wheeling, W. Virginia barn dance.

Dan Bailey sings baritone and plays mandolin for Cane Run. He was born in Ohio, but his roots run deep in Casey County, Kentucky.

He developed a love for music, particularly bluegrass and gospel, when he was working as a disc jockey at the local radio station.
